EasyCall Helps Build a School in South Asia

At EasyCall Communications we have made a commitment to donate 5% of our gross proceeds to humanitarian projects at Mercy Corp. We recenly were excited to be able to purchase a School Building Mercy Kit as part of our donation. This kit will enable Mercy Corps to perform infrastructure repairs on one school in Central Asia. We hope to be able to support many more educational projects in the coming years.

The Facts...

In Central Asia, communities are often unable to afford to repair their crumbling school buildings. As a result, students attend schools with leaky roofs, no heating and inadequate indoor plumbing. The difficult learning conditions have led to high rates of absenteeism and have heightened the risk of illness for students and teachers.

How Mercy Corps is Helping

Mercy Corps is working with communities to repair the infrastructure of schools and to provide proper water and sanitation. Additionally, Mercy Corps complements it repair projects with health trainings that teach children hygiene habits such as washing hands, which can reduce the incidence of diarrheal disease by 35 percent.
